Suits (excluding season 9) – TV Series Review

Watch Suits season 1-8 on Netflix - Watch Netflix abroad

Ever wondered what it’s like to work with one of New York’s biggest law firms – without a law degree? Mike Ross knows all about it. Expelled from college and taking exams for people who can’t pass them with his photographic memory, he is offered the opportunity of a lifetime and decides to take his chance to become someone in the world.

Following a failed drug sale for his friend Trevor (Tom Lipinski), Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) finds himself in an interview for Pearson Hardman, one of New York’s biggest law firms that only employs graduates of Harvard Law. Harvey Spectre (Gabriel Macht) is one of New York’s biggest and best lawyers who decides to look for something a little different with this set of future employees. Mike Ross steals the show. Confident, intelligent, with a briefcase full of drugs and nothing to lose, Harvey is convinced to hire him and so the adventure begins.

I adored this show. The reason that this review is only on the first 8 of 9 seasons is because season 9 is not on Netflix in my region yet and is not expected to arrive there until 2021. However, I have no doubt that it will be as intriguing and spectacular as the first 8 seasons.

This show also starred Meghan Markle as Rachel Zane, Gina Torres as Jessica Pearson, Sarah Rafferty as Donna Paulson and Rick Hoffman as Louis Litt – a truly incredible cast. These complex and somewhat troubled characters came to life in the screen and I honestly found myself completely lost in their world. The chemistry between all of the characters, especially between Mike and Harvey, was truly phenomenal and I fell in love with each and every one of them.

This show had fabulous plots and drew me in through all of the twists and turns. There is no need to be worried about whether or not you’ll be able to understand the legal jargon as everything is explained for Mike’s benefit and therefore for ours too.

The camerawork was also outstanding, The shots and transitions were incredible and every episode moved seamlessly. I also have to commend the soundtrack as each song fitted each scene perfectly.

I am giving this show (if only the first 8 seasons!) 10/10.

I loved the complexity of the characters and their development was clear throughout the entire show. It was easy to believe that they were real people, which is testament to the skills of the actors, and they kept my attention throughout the entire series.

Please go and watch this show, you never know what you might learn, and let me know what you think!

Or, if you seen it already, did you enjoy it as much as I did?

Lots of love,

Dramatically Dramatic xx
